How to Speak Hindi Language
Learning to Greet in Hindi is the first thing you need to learn in your journey to learn Hindi. Like many other languages, it has also got greetings in two ways
1. Time Based Greetings
2. All time greetings.(most used)
Before going through our lesson, I would like to suggest you always please take a notebook and paper before starting watch my videos. I had made these video lesson a long ago, so first this video will only teach you to greet in method 2, but method one time based greeting I will teach you in word.
1. Time Based Greetings
1. Good morning -- Shubh Prabhat शुभ प्रभात!
2. Good Day -- Shubh Din शुभ दिन !
3. Good Noon -- Shubh Apranh शुभ अपरान्ह !
4. Good Evening -- Shubh Sandhya शुभ संध्या !
5. Good night -- Shubh Ratri शुभ रात्रि !( Very much used )
2. All time Greetings
1. Namaskar(नमस्कार) / Namaste(नमस्ते)
This is phrase is used most while greetings in Hindi language, no matter of time , gender, numbers , respect, you can use any of the two words to greet formally.
Things to Remember During Namaste / Namaskar
- Join your both palm, as shown in above video tutorial
- Lean forward a little.
- Close your eyes when you bend forward.
- Keep your hands near to chest .
Namaskar (नमस्कार) or Namaste(नमस्ते) has got deeper meaning also, but these days , Indian , Nepali Hindu people are using as very commonly used phrases like Hi, Hello etc.
